Ferguson pleased with point

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson admitted the draw at Bolton was a fair result.

"It was such an exciting game and Bolton had us under the cosh for 55 minutes," said Ferguson.

"But I don't think either team deserved to win or lose that game. To come back like that shows our determination.

"And we'll get better, of that there's not doubt. I thought it was a fair result and any team that comes here is in for a tough game."

Ferguson was pleased by the performance of Argentine defender Gabriel Heinze, who scored on his debut for Manchester United.

He added: "I was playing a back four that hadn't play together before. Gabriel doesn't speak any English and I think it was a big ask of him to come in like that.

"But I thought he coped well and I thought the defence did fantastically."
