Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes is set to return to first-team action in time for next month's Premiership match against Aston Villa.
The England star has been missing for the last month after undergoing surgery on his groin following the 3-1 defeat against Fulham a month ago.
But United boss Sir Alex Ferguson says the 29-year-old is making good progress and should be fit to face Villa on 6 December.
"Paul has done his rehabilitation work now and is doing some training," said Ferguson.
"He is getting stuck into gym work. He has been playing basketball and hockey in the gym as part of his programme and is looking good.
"He's coming along great. The good thing about Paul is that he is a quick healer so it won't be too long now before he is back for us.
"I expect him to be ready again in a fortnight."
