Giggs dismisses Inter rumours
Ryan Giggs in action for Manchester United
Giggs has four years left on his contract
Manchester United winger Ryan Giggs has played down speculation linking him with a move to Inter Milan.

Reports in the Italian press have suggested Inter will move for the Wales international when the transfer window reopens on Wednesday.

But Giggs told BBC Radio Five Live: "I don't comment on speculation and that's all it is at the moment."

The 28-year-old signed a five-year deal with United last season and says he wants to see out his career at Old Trafford.

"Ever since then, I haven't said anything because as far as I am concerned, that's the end of the story," he said.

I still have four years left on my present contract and I am quite happy

Ryan Giggs
"I've got a five-year contract with United - four years left - and I am quite happy."

Giggs, who signed a new five-year contract last season, added: "When I signed my contract last year I said I wanted to finish my career at United.

"That is the end of the story as far as I am concerned. I still have four years left on my present contract and I am quite happy."

While there has been no repeat of the hamstring problems which have plagued him throughout his career, Giggs has sparked only sporadically this season.

And while he remains an integral part of Ferguson's plans, he needs to perform with greater consistency, especially in front of goal where he has failed to score in 18 appearances.

"There have been a lot of games recently and on Saturday the manager decided to mix it around a little bit," said Giggs.

"You always want to play but you have to recognise it is not just about 12 or 13 players, it is about 20.

"I have been pleased with my fitness this season because I have probably played the same number of games so far as I did in the whole of the last campaign.

"I am just keeping my fingers crossed that all the injuries are behind me now."
