The games Keane will miss
Keane was sent off for his tackle on Haaland
Keane was sent off for his tackle on Haaland

Roy Keane's five-match ban for being found guilty on two charges of bringing the game into disrepute means he will miss some potentially important matches for Manchester United.

BBC Sport Online looks at the games in question and considers how much United will miss him.

5 November
v Leicester:
This is a Worthington Cup match, a competition Sir Alex Ferguson does not rate. He has picked a second-string team in the past so Keane may not have played anyway.

9 November
v Manchester City:
Keane would not have been welcomed at Maine Road after his tackle on City's Alfie Haaland so it is probably wise he is banned for this match. However he could find himself sitting near Haaland in the stands.

17 November
v West Ham:
West Ham will be relieved Keane is missing at Upton Park as they battle relegation. The Hammers only have to worry about Beckham, Scholes, Van Nistelrooy...

23 November
v Newcastle:
Manchester United have not got the best record against the Magpies and this game at Old Trafford is a classic six-pointer.

1 December
v Liverpool:
After two defeats against Liverpool last season, Keane will be sorely missed in this game at Anfield which could make or break their season.

The return
7 December
v Arsenal:
This will be Keane's first game back after his ban is served but will it be too late for him to help salvage United's season?
