City closing in
How did the Kaka saga unfold?

Thursday 15 January: Man City assistant manager Mark Bowen says: "We believe the deal is very close."

Boss Mark Hughes says he is part of the discussions and they are not "just a whim". "The money involved is something we feel, from a football and business point of view, works."

AC Milan confirm they have allowed their player to talk to City and the next step is for Kaka's father to speak to the Premier League club.

The director of Milan's in-house TV channel, Mauro Suma, reveals Milan are looking at City's offer.
