Holland goalkeeper Ronald Waterreus has completed his move to Manchester City and signed a five-month deal.
Waterreus was part of part of Holland's Euro 2004 squad
Waterreus, who was 34 on Wednesday, came through a medical and will be eligible for City's home game against Charlton on Saturday.
He has been a free agent since leaving PSV Eindhoven in the summer.
City were anxious to bring in some cover for David James while their other keepers Geert De Vlieger and Nicky Weaver recover from long-term injuries.
