Rochdale have signed Manchester City midfielder Willo Flood on a month's loan and also captured Leyton Orient defender Greg Heald.
Parkin is fighting to keep Dale up
Flood, 18, is relegation-threatened Dale's final permitted loan signing this season.
"He's a versatile, young midfielder who is very fit," Dale boss Steve Parkin told his club's website.
"I've watched him a few times. I've been impressed with his work-rate. I'm sure he'll do well for us."
Flood made his senior City debut in their Uefa Cup tie against Welsh side TNS earlier this season.
Centre-back Heald, 32, has joined Dale until the end of the season after being released from his Orient contract.
"Greg's a good honest professional who never had the chance to show what he could do here because of injuries," said Orient boss Martin Ling.
"We were unable to guarantee him a place in the squad next year and he wanted to stay in the league.
"So as soon as anyone came in for him, we let him know."
