Manchester City manager Kevin Keegan was unable to hide his frustration after his side's Uefa Cup path was blocked by Groclin.
Nicolas Anelka scored after just six minutes of the second-round, first-leg
clash at the City of Manchester Stadium, but Keegan's side then squandered a series of good chances.
Sebastian Mila eventually grabbed a superb equaliser to leave the tie finely
balanced for the return in Poland at the end of the month.
City boss Keegan said: "We had a good start, created some good chances and missed some good chances.
"Then we relied on David Seaman to keep us in it a little bit because he made
two great saves.
"If you are a Manchester City fan you will be disappointed, but so am I and so
are the players. At home 1-1 is not a great result.
"But fair play to Groclin, apart from the first 10-15 minutes, they looked an
attacking side.
"They didn't just come and sit back. They got a draw, I think, they
deserved.
"In the second half we couldn't get a head of steam up, but some days it
doesn't go for you.
"It wasn't a great performance, but there was still plenty of effort,
but no real spark. One or two players didn't get going."
