Macclesfield defender James Jennings is likely to be out for the rest of the season with knee ligament damage.
The 21-year-old picked up the injury in Town's 3-1 defeat to Gillingham at the end of February.
Club physio Nick Reid told the club website: "JJ is looking at anything between six and nine weeks to recover.
"There's an outside chance he could be back for the end of the season but at this stage it is unlikely he will. We certainly haven't given up hope."
