Barras joins Macclesfield
Macclesfield have signed central defender Tony Barras, following his departure from Notts County.

The 33-year-old has agreed a 12-month deal at Moss Rose.

"He is a highly experienced centre-back and was exactly what I have been looking for," Macclesfield manager Brian Horton told his club's website.

Meanwhile, the Silkmen have appointed Ian Brightwell as their new reserve team manager, and the 36-year-old will also register as a player.

Brightwell was previously first team coach under Horton at Port Vale.
