Macclesfield manager Brian Horton has completed the signing of Lincoln full-back Mark Bailey, who recently rejected a new deal with the Imps.

Bailey, 27, has reportedly agreed a two-year deal at Moss Rose after passing a medical with the Silkmen.

"He has shown he can play at this level," Horton explained.

"Lincoln have been in the play-offs for the last two years and he is a player I have watched for quite a while," he told Macclesfield's website.

The move adds to Horton's recent capture of Nottingham Forest midfielder Neil Morgan and Coventry defender Michael Briscoe, both 18.
