Silkmen sign Beresford
Macclesfield Town have signed Plymouth Arygle winger David Beresford on a month's loan.

Town boss David Moss made his move for the 26-year-old after his plans to sign Bolton's Jermain Johnson were scuppered by a red card Johnson received in a reserve match.

"He's another winger, which is a position I've made no secret that I'm trying to fill," said Moss.

"David has experience at this and a higher level so will add to the squad-depth," Moss told his club's website.

Former Oldham and Huddersfield wideman Beresford has made just a handful of starts for Plymouth since joining the club from Hull City last summer and has made only one appearance for Paul Sturrock's side this season.
