Harford refuses to blame Town's defeat on Nicholls' injury
Luton manager Mick Harford hopes Hatters captain Kevin Nicholls makes a quick return to fitness after he missed Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Macclesfield.
Nicholls picked up an injury in training on Friday but Harford refused to blame Town's defeat on his absence.
"It had nothing to do with it," Harford told BBC Three Counties Radio.
"But hopefully he won't be out too long - he has a hamstring strain. Kevin is Kevin and will want to get back on the pitch as soon as possible."
Harford admitted his side were poor against the Silkmen, adding: "We just didn't seem to be at the races.
"The players were forewarned before the game and in training that Macclesfield had just taken two good hidings and there would be some reaction from last week."
