Luton await Wimbledon decision
Luton's Kenilworth Road ground
Luton are planning to leave Kenilworth Road
Luton Town could be moved to complain to the Football League if Wimbledon are given permission to relocate to Milton Keynes.

The Hatters insist their own bid to move to the Buckinghamshire newtown was blocked last year.

A Luton spokesman said: "It will be interesting to see whether Wimbledon get permission to move.

Our chairman is going ahead with our own plans to move, but we are being held up by red tape
Luton spokesman
"We received a letter in February from the league stating that all clubs must stay in their own area, and I don't think Milton Keynes is anywhere near Wimbledon.

"Our chairman is going ahead with our own plans to move, but we are being held up by red tape."

The Football League has told Wimbledon that their plans to move from the capital would be investigated before a final decision was made.

They intend to end their groundshare relationship with Crystal Palace and move to a 28,000-capacity stadium in Milton Keynes for the start of the 2003-04 campaign.
