Hay celebrating Livi's League Cup final win over Hibernian in 2004
Livingston have confirmed that former manager Davie Hay will return to the club in a new advisory role.
Hay led the club to Scottish League Cup success in 2004 and details of his new role will be confirmed later this week.
The 60-year-old is father-in-law to Tomasso Angelini, who is part of the consortium which recently bought Livi.
"Davie is rightly regarded as a legend at Almondvale and it gives me enormous pleasure to welcome him back," chairman Angelo Massone told the club's website.
Hay has not worked in football since leaving the Dunfermline manager's post in 2005 and has previously had spells in charge of Celtic and Motherwell.
"His knowledge and experience of Scottish football is vast and I look forward to him making a big contribution as we strive to bring success back to the club," added Massone.
