Greyhound chief wants Livingston

Livingston have confirmed that they have been approached by three groups in the last month who are interested in investing in the First Division club.

Former Powderhall owner Eddie Ramsay is one of the interested parties and would want to introduce greyhound racing at Almondvale Stadium.

But Livingston chief executive Vivien Kyles told BBC Sport: "We are a million miles away from a deal with anyone."

The club remain to be convinced that a dog track could work at the stadium.

"We have a very tight stadium here and it would be interesting to see how he thinks it could happen," said Kyles.

"We would welcome dog racing or anything else that helps improve club finances, but we are still waiting to see detailed plans.

"Meanwhile, we have attracted a couple of other football interests in the club."

Kyles could not yet say whether any deal would lead to a owner Pearse Flynn relinquishing a controlling interest in the club.

But Flynn later told BBC Sport: "I have six businesses and any one of them is for sale - if I get the right offer."

However, he also stressed that all the recent approaches had been unsolicited and, when asked if Livingston was facing a possible future without a football team, replied: "No chance."
