Livi boss John Robertson was sent to the stand after kicking the ball away from the dugout area during his side's 3-1 defeat at Tannadice.
The former Hearts and Inverness boss thought the decision was a strange one.
He said: "The ball came over and I just booted it back. It came back over and I booted it back again.
"The referee came over and said he was sending me to the stand, which was not the first incident I did not think he was 100% right on."
