Liverpool deny Benayoun is poised for Moscow move

Liverpool's Yossi Benayoun
Benayoun only signed a two-year contract extension last summer

Liverpool have dismissed claims that midfielder Yossi Benayoun will follow striker Andriy Voronin to Russian side Dinamo Moscow.

Dinamo sporting director Konstantin Sarsania had said a deal had been agreed for the 29-year-old Israeli international to join his club.

But Liverpool say Benayoun, who signed a new deal last summer to keep him at Anfield until 2013, is not leaving.

"The player is not for sale, it's as simple as that," said a club spokesman.

Benayoun, who joined from West Ham in summer 2007, is currently out of action because of a rib injury.
