Liverpool assistant boss Sammy Lee has been warned about his future conduct by the Football Association.
Lee was charged with improper conduct after remonstrating with fourth official Stuart Atwell during the Reds' opening day defeat by Tottenham.
The 50-year-old was sent to the stands by Phil Dowd for protesting after two penalty appeals were rejected.
Lee admitted the charge and would have received a stiffer penalty had it not been for an "exemplary" record.
Dowd ruled that Benoit Assou-Ekotto's challenge on Andriy Voronin and a handball later from the same player were not spot-kicks.
The decisions also prompted a heated response from Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez, who labelled them "very poor".
As a result, Benitez was also charged by the FA with improper conduct on Tuesday and has until 15 September to respond.
