Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez has signed a new four-year deal which will see him remain at Anfield until 2010.
The 46-year-old Spaniard has achieved great success since joining the club from Valencia in June 2004.
After leading them to Champions League triumph in 2005, Benitez guided the Reds to FA Cup glory last season.
He told the club's website: "There was never going to be a problem once we reached an agreement. All the documents have been signed and sent to the club."
Benitez added: "I'm very happy at Liverpool and hope we can enjoy more success in the seasons to come."
Liverpool finished fifth in the first season Benitez took charge and secured the Champions League title by overcoming AC Milan on penalties.
Last season, the Spaniard led the Reds to a third-place finish and won the FA Cup by defeating West Ham 3-1 on penalties.
In August Liverpool beat CSKA Moscow 3-1 after extra-time to claim the UEFA Super Cup.
