Liverpool have taken Milton Keynes Dons keeper David Martin on a week's trial.
Martin has been capped by England at Under-19 level
The 19-year-old, an England Under-19 international, will play for the Reds' reserves against Sunderland at Wrexham's Racecourse Ground on Tuesday.
Martin, who is 6ft 1in and the son of West Ham legend Alvin Martin, made his debut in April 2004, and made 20 first-team appearances last season.
However, the form and fitness of number one Matt Baker has restricted Martin to just two LDV appearances this term.
Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez is looking for back-up to Jose Reina and Scott Carson, as Jerzy Dudek could leave Anfield in January, while Chris Kirkland is on loan at West Bromwich Albion.
