Former Liverpool defender Mauricio Pellegrino has signed for Spanish side Deportivo Alaves.
The 33-year-old moved to Anfield from Valencia on a short-term deal in January, rejoining his former manager Rafael Benitez, but was then released.
Pellegrino played 12 times for Liverpool, making his last appearance against Aston Villa on the final day of the season.
Alaves won promotion to the Primera Liga at the end of last season.
A substitute appearance for his previous club Valencia in the early rounds of the Champions League made Pellegrino ineligible to take part in Liverpool's triumphant European campaign.
Pellegrino was twice on the losing side in a Champions League final with Valencia but came on as a late substitute when the club beat Marseille to win the UEFA Cup in 2004.
He won the Primera Liga with Valencia in 2002 and 2004.
Alaves gave no details of the Argentine's contract on their website.
