Liverpool have clinched a £3.2m deal for Czech Republic under-21 striker Milan Baros.

The 19-year old rising star of Czech soccer has signed a five-year contract confirmed a spokesman for his club Banik Ostrava.

Baros has already passed a medical in Britain and is expected to link up with his club after his work permit is issued.

"I am very happy to be chosen by such a great team as Liverpool," Baros told CTK.

Baros will join fellow countrymen Patrik Berger and striker Vladimir Smicer at Anfield.
