Defender John Nutter eyes 'fresh start' with Lincoln
Nutter made more than 150 appearances for Gillingham
Defender John Nutter says he is looking forward to playing for Lincoln City in the Blue Square Bet Premier after four seasons at Gillingham.
Nutter joined the Imps on a two-year deal after his release by the Gills.
"I did enjoy my time there but it felt like it was time for a new challenge," he told BBC Lincolnshire.
"That decision was taken for me I suppose, but I think it will benefit me to have a fresh start, play in front of new people and show what I can do."
Nutter, who played more than 100 matches in the conference for Wycombe, Aldershot and Stevenage prior to his spell at Gillingham, added: "I feel I'm better than this level but I've got to show that and we have to show that as a team.
"There's certainly a challenge to be had here. I'm 29, a good age to come here and hopefully I can play my best two or three years of football."
