Lincoln City's Luke Howell ruled out for four weeks

Lincoln City midfielder Luke Howell could be out for up to four weeks after a recurrence of his hamstring injury.

Howell limped off after just 14 minutes in Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Stevenage, his first start since suffering the injury at the beginning of March.

But Imps boss Steve Tilson is hopeful that striker Ashley Grimes and defender Stephen Hunt are fit to face Rotherham at Sincil Bank on Friday night.

Grimes took a kick to the foot on Saturday, while Hunt turned his ankle.

Top scorer Grimes' knock came after he had hit his 17th goal of the season.

As for Howell, Tilson told BBC Lincolnshire: "He played 60 minutes in a reserve match and everything was OK.

"But he's pulled the same hamstring so he'll be out for three to four weeks which is a big blow to us."

Howell, 24, initially joined on loan from MK Dons in October 2010, making 10 appearances before making the move permanent upon his release from the League One side at the end of January.

Since then, he has played in a further 11 games for the Imps.
