Lincoln City need more leaders - Paul Brush

Lincoln City

Lincoln City assistant manager Paul Brush says the Imps have to bring in players with leadership qualities after slipping to the foot of League Two.

City's 2-1 defeat by Wycombe was their fourth successive loss.

Brush told BBC Lincolnshire: "We've known from the start that this team needs leaders, organisers and voices on the pitch, but they don't come cheap.

"Mentally you have to hang in there and we have to have players that scrap and stand up and tough out games."

Brush added: "This team hasn't been used to winning and staying in front and our mentality has got to change.

"We have to get players with the strength of mind and the freshness to not think if they don't get a result 'never mind, there's next week' because we've got too many of those players at this club."
