Lincoln manager Chris Sutton has said he is disappointed to lose Eric Lichaj to a three-game ban after he was sent off in the 3-1 defeat at Morecambe.
The defender saw red after retaliating to a tangle with with Laurence Wilson.
Sutton told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "It's a big disappointment as he's been brilliant in the games we've had him.
"Eric will accept the need to count to 10 at times. But I know as a player that sometimes you see the red mist and that's what happened."
Lichaj, 20, is on a month-long loan at Sincil Bank from Premier League side Aston Villa.
"He'll play right at the top level in my view," added Sutton.
"He gets up and down, he's decent on the ball and his fitness levels are incredible. I think it's something everybody at the club should aspire to."
Lichaj is set to miss the Imps' FA Cup tie at AFC Telford United and the League Two games against Cheltenham and Grimsby, but would be available for the derby clash with the Mariners if Saturday's Cup tie requires a replay.
