Lincoln City have signed Aston Villa defenders Nathan Baker and Eric Lichaj on month-long loan deals.
Baker, 18, is an England under-19 international while Lichaj, 20, has played for the USA at youth level.
Both are expected to go straight into the Imps squad for Saturday's League Two match at home to Torquay United.
Manager Chris Sutton told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "They're highly rated and I'm confident they'll come in and do a good job for us."
Sutton admitted that his close links with the Premier League club and their manager Martin O'Neill had played an important part in the signings.
"I was fortunate enough to play under Martin and I do speak to them a lot.
"It is helpful, there's no doubt about it, so I'm grateful to Villa for letting us have these boys."
