Imps in no rush to appoint boss

Lincoln City vice-chairman Bob Dorrian believes the club is in no rush to appoint a new manager.

Last week the Imps sacked Peter Jackson after the club lost five of their opening seven games of the season.

"There's one or two candidates for contractual reasons that can't make interviews at an early stage," Dorrian told BBC Radio Lincolnshire.

"As a result it may be another two weeks before we properly interview everyone for the job."

He added: "After that within three weeks we hope to have a new manager."

In the past Lincoln have admitted that current Kettering boss Mark Cooper and former Cambridge manager Gary Brabin match the criteria for what they are looking for.
