Brabin & Cooper on Imps wish-list

Lincoln City

Lincoln vice-chairman Bob Dorrian has hinted that Kettering's Mark Cooper and ex-Cambridge boss Gary Brabin are in the frame to be the Imps' next manager.

Both have been linked with the League Two club after Peter Jackson was sacked following a poor start to the season.

Dorrian told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "Gary Brabin's exactly the type of manager we're interested in.

"Cooper's under contract at Kettering but they both fit the criteria of the type of manager we'd like to recruit."

He said the club had received more than 50 applications prior to the weekend victory at home to Darlington.

Dorrian added that Jackson's successor at Sincil Bank would be "a young up-and-coming manager who wants to make a name for himself but doesn't necessarily have to have Football League experience.

"We're looking for someone who will take the club by the scruff of the neck and bring it success," he added.
