Imps take Forest defender on loan

Lincoln City have signed Nottingham Forest left-back Joe Heath on an initial six-month loan.

Heath, 20, made 12 appearances for the Championship club last season.

Lincoln manager Peter Jackson told the club website: "Joe is young, keen and enthusiastic and I'm delighted to be able to bring him to the club.

"He had experience at Championship level last season and played in some big games for Forest so he's certainly got something about him."

Heath, whose 12 games last season included two as substitute, is contracted to Forest until June 2011.

The Imps will also give a trial to former Totthenham full-back Cian Hughton on their pre-season tour of Germany.

The 20-year-old, son of Newcastle coach Chris Hughton, was released by Spurs at the end of last season.
