Jackson to return to Lincoln City

Lincoln City chairman Steff Wright claims manager Peter Jackson will soon be back at work with the club.

Jackson has not been at Sincil Bank since starting treatment for throat cancer in March.

Wright told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "We're hoping Peter will be back in the office next week. His voice has come back which is a massive step forward.

"He's passionate about making something happen at Lincoln City. It's a good situation out of a very difficult one."

Wright says Jackson may make his first public appearance since undergoing radiation therapy at the Imps' extraordinary general meeting on 29 May.

"I won't make any commitment," he said. "But we're hoping he will be there."
