Buckley leaves Lincoln
Buckley was in charge of Lincoln for 14 months
Lincoln have parted company with manager Alan Buckley, with the club citing financial reasons for his exit.
A statement released by the club said the decision had been made following advice from Begbies Traynor, which is trying to manoeuvre the club out of its current financial plight. Lincoln recently applied to be placed in administration as a consequence of the collapse of ITV Digital. And the Imps are in the midst of a desperate fund-raising campaign as they attempt to generate the necessary funds to facilitate their survival. Lincoln had a difficult season, finishing 22nd in Division Three. And chairman Rob Bradley said recently: "We are very reliant on money from ITV Digital - it is money that has been budgeted for." The Imps director of football Keith Alexander has taken control of team affairs for the moment.
