Manager Martin Ling admitted "it feels great" after Leyton Orient's 1-0 win at Darlington left them on top of League Two with three wins from three games.
"It's a difficult place to come and get a result, but I felt we were in control," Ling affirmed.
"The five at the back have only let in two goals, but they know if the midfield four aren't doing the workload they won't be successful.
"But we can't get carried away - there are another 43 games left."
