Orient release Akinfenwa
Leyton Orient have released striker Adebayo Akinfenwa after his one month contract with the club came to an end.

The 21-year-old striker joined the Brisbane Road outfit after they were hit by suspension and injury, with forwards Lee Thorpe and Chris Tate out of action.

But with the O's players back in the first-team reckoning, boss Martin Ling deemed Akinfenwa surplus to requirements.

"Now we've got our four strikers fit it's very difficult to carry an extra one," said Ling.

"Bayo did okay in the reserve games and he worked very hard in training, and I wish him all the best in his career and for the rest of the season," Ling told the club's official website.
