Striking problems at Brisbane Road
Richard Garcia in action for Orient
Richard Garcia will be out of action for nine months
Leyton Orient manager Tommy Taylor is keen to move fast and plug the gap left by the injury to talented young striker Richard Garcia.

Garcia, who was on loan at the club from West Ham United, injured his knee in the draw at Cheltenham and is now sidelined for the rest of the season with ligament damage.

Taylor has set his sights on securing Chris Tate, who has also been at Brisbane Road on loan, in a permanent deal from Scarborough.

The O's are not turning their back on Garcia and will be keeping tabs on the progress of the 19-year-old.

Taylor said: "We will keep in touch with Richard. We don't want to say that's it. We will see what happens and have a look at him next season."

Another Orient striker, Isyeden Christie, has also been ruled out for the remainder of the season with ligament damge.
