Lennon decision will boost Leicester City
Neil Lennon has given Leicester a lift by agreeing a new four-year deal with the Foxes.

The £8m-rated Northern Ireland midfielder had been a target for former boss Martin O'Neill, who quit the club for Celtic in June.

But Lennon decided on Leicester and has been rewarded with a reported £10,000-a-week pay rise.

Lennon, 29, said: "It was a fantastic offer from the club and I felt very humble that they have made such a good offer to me.

"The offer they put before me was beyond my wildest dreams."

Delighted

Lennon's signing, which has seen his salary jump from £20,000 a week to £30,000 a week, completes a hat-trick for Leicester after Muzzy Izzet and Matt Elliott agreed new deals this summer.

Foxes boss Peter Taylor said: "I am delighted that Neil has agreed to sign a a new contract.

"I have made it quite clear since I have been here that he is one of the most important players at the club and I am delighted to have him on board.

"I am looking forward to our first game against Aston Villa even more."
