Waghorn tempted by extended loan

Waghorn has not yet started a match for Leicester

Leicester City striker Martyn Waghorn says he would be interested in extending his loan stay beyond January.

Waghorn joined on a short-term deal from Sunderland in the summer and has impressed, scoring three crucial goals to help the Foxes into a play-off spot.

He told BBC Radio Leicester: "I'm here until January and I think both clubs might be trying to extend it.

"I'd like to keep learning my trade at a side like this. I'll just keep doing what's needed and take it from there."

Waghorn has been mainly used as a substitute this season but started against Reading on Monday and scored the only goal of the game.
