Hobbs praise for 'awesome' Brown

Leicester City's Jack Hobbs has praised the role that fellow defender Wayne Brown has played in the club's unbeaten start to the season.

The Foxes are seventh in the Championship with eight points from their opening four games.

And Hobbs told BBC Radio Leicester: "Wayne has been awesome. He's so strong and dominant and is always talking.

"He is an absolute wall of strength at the back and it's great to be playing alongside him."

Brown, 32, and Hobbs, 21, both sealed permanent moves to The Walkers Stadium in the summer.

And while Brown's experience has been crucial so far this term, Hobbs has also been in fine form in a Foxes defence which has so far conceded just two goals in four games.

"I'm really enjoying it," Hobbs added. "I'm looking forward to every game. I just want to be as consistent as I can.

"Playing alongside Brown and Robbie [Neilson] with their experience is really bringing my game on.

"The next league game against Newcastle will be a big test but we're looking forward to it."

Striker Matty Fryatt, who scored the only goal of the game in the win over Barnsley on Saturday, was equally proud of Leicester's early-season form.

"We've had an excellent start," Fryatt said. "We've had two difficult away trips and done especially well.

"Against Barnsley most people would be expecting us to get three points and it doesn't always work out that way. They went 4-5-1 which is always difficult to play against but in the end one goal was enough."
