Leicester City scored four first-half goals to beat Shrewsbury Town 4-0 in a pre-season friendly at the New Stadium.
Lloyd Dyer scored twice, while Dany N'Guessan and Jack Hobbs were also on target for the Foxes.
Manager Nigel Pearson told BBC Radio Leicester: "I am pleased with how we went about winning the game and that's what it's about at this stage.
"It's nice to score some goals and look dangerous, although second-half was a different story."
The Foxes pre-season preparations have already taken them to Slovenia for a week-long training camp, and they've played Loughborough, Tamworth and Mansfield on home soil.
"The players have got to do what they can to make sure they get a first-team place for the start of the season," said Pearson.
"It was a good all-round win, so we move in to the latter parts of pre-season with a decent performance under our belt."
