Leicester City have completed the signing of on-loan Liverpool defender Jack Hobbs on a four-year contract.

Hobbs, 20, joined on loan last summer and has helped the Foxes return to the Championship as League One winners.

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my season, and I am absolutely delighted to make the move permanent," said Hobbs.

"This is a massive club and I believe we can go all the way to the Premier League. That's one of the reasons why I have signed a four-year deal."

Portsmouth-born Hobbs was signed by Liverpool as a 17-year-old after he had played just three minutes of professional football for Lincoln.

But the England under-19 international made just two appearances for the Merseyside giants before going on loan, first to Scunthorpe and then Leicester.

"I couldn't be happier here," he added. "Leicester have shown great faith in me and instilled me with great confidence. I really am over the moon."
