Mandaric wants to see Leicester in the top flight of English football
Leicester City owner Milan Mandaric has reassured Nigel Pearson that he will have money to spend if the club wins promotion back to the Championship.
Mandaric has continued to finance the Foxes despite relegation leading to the club registering a £14.2m loss for the 12-month period ending 31 May 2008.
"He's keeping one eye in the direction [of new players]" Mandaric told BBC Radio Leicester.
He added: "When the time comes we'll talk to Nigel and will support him"
Mandaric also put fans' minds at rest when it comes to the future of their manager.
There have been worries that Premier League clubs may be interested in his services, but Mandaric said: "He's got certain loyalties and from everything I know about Nigel I would have difficulties thinking that he would leave us and go away."
