Fryatt tight-lipped on new deal

Leicester City striker Matty Fryatt has refused to comment on whether he will sign a new deal with the club.

Foxes fans fear the 22-year-old, whose contract expires in the summer, will be snapped up by another club in January.

Fryatt told BBC Radio Leicester: "It's nice to be thought of and contract talks are ongoing, so we'll have to wait and see - that's all I can say.

"I'm happy at the club. We're top of the league and I'm scoring goals, so why wouldn't I be?"

Manager Nigel Pearson added: "He's enjoying himself here and it's important that at some stage we get the contract tied up."

Fryatt, who moved to the Walkers Stadium from Walsall in 2006, has scored 16 goals so far this season.
