Pearson can get Foxes up - Allen

Martin Allen
Allen was replaced by Gary Megson at Leicester last season

Former Leicester City boss Martin Allen believes new manager Nigel Pearson will get the Foxes back to the Championship at the first attempt.

Allen told BBC Radio Five Live: "I think they'll be more than good enough. They've lost some good players but the squad should be big and strong enough.

"Nigel Pearson can do it. He'll get those players sorted."

Former Brentford manager Allen was sacked in August 2007 after just three months in charge of the Foxes.

Leicester face MK Dons in the first match of the season on Saturday.
