Rams dismiss Foxes' Savage claims

Derby County have rubbished suggestions that Robbie Savage could rejoin Leicester City, report BBC Radio Derby.

A Rams spokesman dismissed Leicester chairman Milan Mandaric's comments that they were considering a move for the 33-year-old.

Mandaric had told BBC Radio Leicester: "His name was mentioned but we've got to look at the make-up of the team.

"We'll look at whether we need an additional player like Robbie and make a decision at that time."

The midfielder has not played in any of Derby's pre-season games and manager Paul Jewell has said he has not been happy with his performances in training.
