Former Republic of Ireland midfielder Gareth Farrelly has joined Leicester to train with the Championship outfit.
The 31-year-old former Bolton and Wigan man joins Carl Asaba at the Foxes, who are keen to run the rule over the pair during the international break.
Assistant manager Mike Stowell told the club website: "We have no game for 11 days so we will look at them both."
Meanwhile, chief scout John Marshall has left the club for a "non-football related opportunity elsewhere".
Farrelly returns to England after his recent sacking from the player-manager's position at Eircom League club Bohemians.
