Foxes admit Dabizas doubts

Leicester City admit Greece defender Nikos Dabizas' future at the club is uncertain following their relegation to The Championship.

The 30-year-old Euro 2004 winner has an escape clause in his contract which can now be activated.

"We want Nikos back," said Foxes assistant boss Alan Cork.

"We've tried to speak to him a couple of times during the tournament but all we get back is rude text messages about England having gone out to Portugal."

Paul Dickov and Ben Thatcher have already activated clauses allowing them to leave after the club dropped out of the top flight.

Meanwhile, Dabizas and England goalkeeper Ian Walker have been given time off from pre-season training.

"We've allowed Ian a little bit of a holiday and he's not due back until 17 July," added Cork.

"Nikos might be back even later than that because at the moment he's obviously part of what's been a very successful Greek squad."
