Leicester winger Peter Canero feels he is making good progress in his recovery from his recent hip operation.
Canero's target is to be fit for pre-season training
The 23-year-old Scottish international hopes to be fit enough to join the rest of the Foxes squad when pre-season training begins on 28 June.
"It has been a frustrating few weeks for me but the operation was something that needed doing," said Canero.
"I am having some treatment and I am taking things easy but the signs do look encouraging."
"I felt the problem during a game soon after I joined but managed to keep going," he added.
"However it became a bit too painful towards the end of the season and the manager felt it was best if I missed the last couple of games and had an operation.
"There was not a lot I could do. It was just unfortunate timing because I'd only just worked my way into the side.
"After a slow start I had begun to make an impact. It is now my aim to make a full recovery before the start of pre-season training and regain my place in the starting lne-up."
