Izzet uncertain over future
Muzzy Izzet
Izzet says Leeds have not been in touch

Muzzy Izzet says Leicester's administrators could force him out of the club.

Midfielder Izzet has been linked to several Premiership sides, including Leeds, Middlesbrough and Aston Villa.

He turned down a move to Boro last season because he did not want to be seen to be "jumping ship" as Leicester were relegated from the top-flight.

I haven't heard anything from Leeds

Muzzy Izzet

But, with the Midlands side currently in administration, Izzet knows that if a bid is made for him the financially stricken club may not be able to turn it down.

"The club is still in administration and I'm sure they would listen to offers," told BBC Sport Online.

"After that it is up to me. It is something that I will look into if and when it happens.

"The administrator is the one who has to get the business running the way it was before, so he's the one who calls the shots and he will be making decisions which our chairman usually would."

Izzet was given some respite from continued speculation about his future when the transfer window closed, but with its re-opening talk about a possible move has also arisen.

And, despite Leicester hoping to come out of administration soon, Turkish international Izzet knows he may have to be sold to give the club a financial boost.

"It is difficult to deal with because you are being linked with this club and that club. A lot of it is blown out of proportion a lot of the time."

He added: "My stance would be the same as with Middlesbrough and I would talk to a club if the manager gave me permission.

"I haven't heard anything from Leeds. I have read the papers like everyone else and seen it in there but I have had no contact with them.

"You do get rumours and people putting things in which have come from somewhere I suppose - but it hasn't come from my end."
