Izzet: I'm staying at Leicester
Muzzy Izzet
Izzet has three years to run on his Leicester deal
Midfielder Muzzy Izzet has pledged his future to Leicester City.

The Turkish international has been linked with a move to Celtic to join former Filbert Street boss Martin O'Neill and ex-team-mate Neil Lennon.

He was also said to be an 8m target of Aston Villa.

But Izzet has three years of his Leicester contract to run and is planning to see them out.

The five years at the club have been the happiest and most successful of my career
  Muzzy Izzet

"I want to make it clear I am staying at Leicester," he told the club's official website.

"Over the past few months it has been a little unsettling for myself as well as the supporters.

"I have been linked with several clubs, but I want to emphasise there is no truth in the rumours I want to leave.

"My family are settled in the area and I have a great relationship with the fans.

"The five years at the club have been the happiest and most successful of my career.

"I signed a new long-term contract with the club last summer and it still has three years to run on it."
